Biography, Life as Art - Three year part-time program

In biography studies, students learn through personal journeying. Life patterns, cycles, crisis points, and identifying one's purpose in life (destiny) are studied. In this program art is used as a vehicle for process, not as a discipline to be developed.

Although there is no time limit, all nine modules offered need to be completed together with anthroposophical studies to lead to the Diploma Life as Art - Biography Studies. The program can be entered September, January, or April each year, an introductory weekend to biography is highly recommended.

This program has a format of three 10 week terms per year, with 6 hours in class (including anthroposophical studies) plus 3 hours homework per week.

For dates and fees see Arscura current course calendar.

  • All courses create an integrated, yet flexible learning path.
  • All courses recognize the non-verbal artistic process as central to a meaningful learning experience.
  • All individual terms, courses and seminars may be taken simply for personal growth and development or for credit toward an Arscura attendance diploma.

Arscura's biography program has given me the tools of soul and spirit I needed to help me reframe the narrative of my life. The artistic process awakened memories and inspired dreams that encouraged me to look at the deeper meaning of the events that have marked my journey to this point. - P. Michael

It is not too often that we take the time to look at how our own individual life's  journey interweaves and contributes to the world around us.  I found the Arscura biography  programme to be incredibly rich in content and it offered me a new way to observe and be 'me' in the world. - Beverley Golden
