Core Studies - Four year part-time program

Core Studies comprise the essential content common to both the Biography and Art for Life courses. These studies involve an anthroposophical approach to human development and evolution. Anthroposophical studies are exciting and illuminating, and worthwhile for anyone with an interest in spirituality. Artistic exercises are always a part of this work..

  • All courses create an integrated, yet flexible learning path.
  • All courses recognize the non-verbal artistic process as central to a meaningful learning experience.
  • All individual terms, courses and seminars may be taken simply for personal growth and development or for credit toward an Arscura diploma.

Reviving the art of philosophy & contributing to a culture of enquiry. Learning how to study an anthroposophical text.

ADULT LEARNING SKILLS
Taking responsibility for one's learning through an understanding of the "seven life processes", according to Rudolf Steiner.

UNDERSTANDING ANTHROPOSOPHICAL MEDICINE
An introduction to dynamic observation of the four-fold nature of the human being as needed for the artist. Analytic, comparative and dynamic observation.

ART HISTORY AND THE EVOLUTION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
The journey of the history of art reflects our own stages of development. From ancient to modern art. A spiritual approach.

OBSERVATION
To 'see' is to know. Enhancing one's powers of perception by truly seeing what is there and letting it speak back to us. How can the 'supersensible' become sense perceptible?
